Since always, it is with innocence, that he scribbles on pieces of paper without goal or form of precise aestheticism. As a child, he was attracted by the graffiti he came across along the roads. All these shapes and colors fascinate him to such an extent that they still accompany them today. One day, his mother gives him a canvas, a pot of blue paint and a black marker. It is this approach that gave him the desire to paint again and again. It was therefore when he started painting that he became interested in the history of art, painters and their paintings. Self-taught, he did not follow any artistic training, but nevertheless, he knows how to transcribe his emotions and his thoughts through his creations. Jéko's work overflows with imagination and productivity. “What touches me the most and what appeals to me first in everything I see are the colors and shapes. In his studio, he paints what he thinks. He transcribes his art as an impulse, a desire, a thought. Following his instinct, letting his mind free, that's how he produces his works. It is also the effect that his works have on everyone, young and old, when they are contemplated. It's easy to tell your own story. We therefore understand why he works on several works at the same time. Depuis toujours, c'est avec innocence, qu'il griffonne sur des bouts de papier sans but ni forme d'esthétisme précis. Enfant, il est attiré par les graffitis qu'il croise le long des routes. Toutes ces formes et ces couleurs le fascinent à tel point qu'elles l'accompagnent encore aujourd'hui. Un jour, sa mère lui offre une toile, un pot de peinture bleue et un marqueur noir. C'est cette démarche qui lui a donné l'envie de peindre encore et encore. C'est donc en commençant à peindre qu'il s'intéresse à l'histoire de l'art, aux peintres et à leurs tableaux. Autodidacte, il n'a pas suivi de formation artistique, mais il sait néanmoins retranscrire ses émotions et ses pensées à travers ses créations. Le travail de Jéko déborde d'imagination et de productivité. "Ce qui me touche le plus et ce qui m'interpelle en premier dans tout ce que je vois, ce sont les couleurs et les formes. Dans son atelier, il peint ce qu'il pense. Il transcrit son art comme une impulsion, un désir, une pensée. Suivre son instinct, laisser libre cours à son esprit, c'est ainsi qu'il réalise ses œuvres. C'est aussi l'effet que ses œuvres produisent sur tous, jeunes et moins jeunes, lorsqu'on les contemple. Il est facile de se raconter sa propre histoire. On comprend alors pourquoi il travaille sur plusieurs œuvres en même temps. Certaines sont terminées en un jour tandis que d'autres dorment pendant des mois avant d'être finalisées à leur tour. "Ce qui compte pour moi, c'est la passion dans l'instant, l'oubli et l'instant.
