Fourth Royal Guard Shooter Battalion is an original lithograph by Antonio Zezon. Naples 1856. Interesting colored lithograph which describes the royal guard shooters: on the left, an Individual in march dress; on the center, a soldier of little importance; on the right, a soldier in full gear. In excellent condition, mit belongs to one of the most famous lithographic collections of the artist: The uniforms of the Bourbon Army and Navy. On the bottom of the lithograph you find the title of the work "BATTAGLIONE TIRAGLIATORI DELLA G.IA R.LE", alongside with the roles of the figures illustrated in it "Individuo in tenuta di marcia - Biggia - Gran tenuta " and the place and date to which it belongs "Napoli, 1856". Antonio Zezon (1803-1881): After a working period at the Ministry of War, he devoted himself to lithography and publishing. Little is know about his activity as a painter. In 1830 he partecipated in one of the exhibitions of the Royal Bourbon Museum with a view of the courtyard of the church of Santa Chiara. He is remembered as a lithographer for: The biographical and lithographic collection of the most illustrious men of every age and nation, dedicated to the Prince of Salerno (Naples 1835); The History of the Kingdom of Naples from the foundation of the Monarchy to the XIX century (1839); The Pictorial Museum of Pictures of the Royal Galleries of Europe (1840). Between 1850 and 1856, he created a work sold in installments on The uniforms of the Bourbon army and navy. It had the lithographic plant in the Royal Palace in Naples.

Au bas de la lithographie, on trouve le titre de l'œuvre "BATTAGLIONE TIRAGLIATORI DELLA G.IA R.LE", ainsi que les rôles des personnages illustrés "Individuo in tenuta di marcia - Biggia - Gran tenuta" et le lieu et la date auxquels elle appartient "Napoli, 1856". Antonio Zezon (1803-1881) : Après une période de travail au ministère de la Guerre, il se consacre à la lithographie et à l'édition. On sait peu de choses sur son activité de peintre. En 1830, il participe à l'une des expositions du Musée royal Bourbon avec une vue de la cour de l'église de Santa Chiara. On se souvient de lui en tant que lithographe : Le recueil biographique et lithographique des hommes les plus illustres de tous les âges et de toutes les nations, dédié au prince de Salerne (Naples 1835) ; L'histoire du royaume de Naples depuis la fondation de la monarchie jusqu'au XIXe siècle (1839) ; Le musée pictural des images des galeries royales d'Europe (1840). Entre 1850 et 1856, il réalise un ouvrage vendu par tranches sur Les uniformes de l'armée et de la marine des Bourbons. Il disposait de l'usine lithographique du Palais royal de Naples.
