Roma Santa Maria in Trastevere is an original contemporary artwork realized in 1970s by the Italian artist Giuseppe Malandrino (Modica, 1910 - Rome, 1979). Etching on Paper with Watercolor. Edition of 199 prints. Hand-signed in pencil on the lower right corner: G.Malandrino. Numbered on the lower left corner 77/199. Signed on plate on the lower right corner: G.Malandrino. Mint condition. Beautiful and romantic work depicting an important place in the heart of Rome and one of the most interesting squares of the worls: the Church of Santa Maria in Trastevere and the square with the fountain. In the center of the composition there is the famous portico of the church and the bell tower on the right side. This work has been realized by Giuseppe Malandrino (Modica, 1910 - Rome, 1979). Malandrino was an active protagonist of the 20th century, a dreamer who has been able to transform his artistic projects into reality. Giuseppe Malandrino lives art in its authentic meaning as a search for beauty, adherence to reality, continuous experimentations towards new forms of expression. He left Modicaand then he moved to Rome, where he attended the studio of Giacomo Balla who made his debut in the I Grande Esposizione d"arte futuristica that Filippo Tommaso Marinetti set up in Piazza Adriana.

Belle œuvre romantique représentant un lieu important au cœur de Rome et l'une des places les plus intéressantes du monde : l'église de Santa Maria in Trastevere et la place avec la fontaine. Au centre de la composition se trouve le célèbre portique de l'église et le clocher sur le côté droit. Cette œuvre a été réalisée par Giuseppe Malandrino (Modica, 1910 - Rome, 1979). Malandrino a été un protagoniste actif du XXe siècle, un rêveur qui a su transformer ses projets artistiques en réalité. Giuseppe Malandrino vit l'art dans sa signification authentique comme une recherche de beauté, une adhésion à la réalité, des expérimentations continues vers de nouvelles formes d'expression. Il a quitté Modica et s'est ensuite installé à Rome, où il a fréquenté l'atelier de Giacomo Balla qui a fait ses débuts dans la Grande Esposizione d'arte futuristica que Filippo Tommaso Marinetti a installée sur la Piazza Adriana.
