I was trying to instruct the model down at the ground, on the grass to lie on his back and look up into the sky. But because he was so far away he didn't hear what I was saying so he turned on his stomach as if he had just fallen from the sky. At the same time there was a stranger on a back passing by wondering what was going on. I love the simplicity of this shot, yet there is so much that we can imagine that happened by simply looking at it. The image was taken with a Leica and shot as is. The only manipulation done to the picture are basic image adjustments. The photo is printed on a Hahnemühle Satin Photo Rag fine art paper to increase the sense of this shot containing grain and lots of grey areas.
