Italy, 30's/40's ORIGIN Italy PERIOD 30's/40's AUTHOR Guido CACCIAPUOTI Born in Naples August 11, 1892 belongs to an ancient family of majolica makers from which he learned the secrets of ceramic art. Modeler of great talent is highlighted for its beautiful sculptures of animal subjects. After moving with his brother Mario to Treviso, he worked at the 'Gregori' factory and in 1915 he successfully participated in the Treviso Art Exhibition. Occasionally has relationships of collaboration with the company 'Lazzar & Marcon' of Treviso. In 1920 he presented some works at the XII Venice Biennale and the following year he exhibited at the Regional Exhibition of Art in Treviso. Buy some of his works the King of Italy, Mussolini, Starace and Prince George of England. In 1927, together with his brother Mario and Angelo Bignami in the role of administrative and commercial director of the company, he founded the factory 'Gres d'Arte Cacciapuoti Bignami & C.' based in Milan in Viale Premuda 34. In 1930, due to the untimely death of his brother, he became the sole owner of the company. The factory was immediately successful and became famous for the realistic sculptures of animals made by Guido. Guido Cacciapuoti died in 1953. Modeleur de grand talent, il se distingue par ses magnifiques sculptures de sujets animaliers. Après avoir déménagé avec son frère Mario à Trévise, il travaille à l'usine "Gregori" et, en 1915, il participe avec succès à l'exposition d'art de Trévise. Il a parfois des rapports de collaboration avec l'entreprise "Lazzar & Marcon" de Trévise. En 1920, il présente quelques œuvres à la XIIe Biennale de Venise et, l'année suivante, il expose à l'Exposition régionale d'art de Trévise. Le roi d'Italie, Mussolini, Starace et le prince George d'Angleterre achètent certaines de ses œuvres. En 1927, il fonde avec son frère Mario et Angelo Bignami, en qualité de directeur administratif et commercial de l'entreprise, la fabrique "Gres d'Arte Cacciapuoti Bignami & C.", dont le siège se trouve à Milan, Viale Premuda 34. En 1930, à la suite du décès prématuré de son frère, il devient l'unique propriétaire de l'entreprise. L'usine connaît un succès immédiat et devient célèbre pour les sculptures réalistes d'animaux réalisées par Guido. Guido Cacciapuoti est décédé en 1953.
