I just got word of PIXEL, a new interactive light installation by Jamie Zigelbaum that's due to debut on October 5th as part of "Paddles On!"

Phillips auction house has partnered with Tumblr and curator Lindsay Howard for their first auction that's dedicated solely to digital art. As someone who struggles with it daily, I really admire Jamie's skill in bringing out the best in technology, and while I'm not sure what to expect from this show—he's done a good job of being secretive when it comes to specifics!—knowing Jamie, I'm sure the results will be amazing and I'm definitely intrigued.

 

Paddles On! runs Oct. 5-12th (with the auction on Oct. 10th) at Phillips, 450 Park Avenue, New York.
