Hydra
I'm back in NYC! Holidays are over and I'm very glad to be back at the office with the girls. I'm going to wrap up my summer holiday with this post about Hydra, a magical Greek island I thoroughly enjoyed. The island has no cars, no neon lights and strict construction regulations. These factors have saved and protected the authenticity of the island and made it a greek safe haven. Most of the people vacationing there were international art world people or Greek folk from Athens. The town is centered around the port where all the 'activity' is: the bank, a few restaurants and caffe's, a pharmacy and the donkey stand. The rest of the island is covered with wild mediterranean nature. You can catch small boats to reach the beaches or just walk. The clarity and color of the sea was so beautiful it was hard to believe.
