Small Vintage Factory Wall Clock by Smiths A stunning find from a Brick Factory in Wales, upon conversion to living accommodation a bricked up store was discovered where 12 clocks were found. Of those 12, nine were identical Smiths English Clock Systems, and three were clocks by ITR, International Time Recording Co Ltd. For the other lots, take a look at the Welsh Brickyard Find Originally manufactured in the early 1940s by Smiths English Clock Systems Limited, one of the most reputable commercial clock makers of the 20th century, along with Synchronome and Gents of Leicester. Construction is ok a Bakelite case with an aluminium bezel, the bakelite cases of this clock have been polished giving a beautiful marbled appearance. Originally these clocks would have all ran in sync from a master clock and the clocks would have been slaves on the circuit however the original slave movements and hands were not present so we have installed hands very close to the originals with a modern battery quartz movement for simple no fuss running. Petite horloge murale vintage d'usine par Smiths Une trouvaille étonnante provenant d'une usine de briques au Pays de Galles. Lors de la conversion en logement, un magasin maçonné a été découvert et 12 horloges y ont été trouvées. Sur ces 12 horloges, neuf étaient des horloges identiques de Smiths English Clock Systems, et trois étaient des horloges d'ITR, International Time Recording Co Ltd. Fabriquée à l'origine au début des années 1940 par Smiths English Clock Systems Limited, l'un des fabricants d'horloges commerciales les plus réputés du XXe siècle, avec Synchronome et Gents of Leicester. La construction est un boîtier en bakélite avec une lunette en aluminium. Les boîtiers en bakélite de cette horloge ont été polis, ce qui leur donne un bel aspect marbré. A l'origine, ces horloges auraient toutes fonctionné en synchronisation à partir d'une horloge mère et les horloges auraient été des esclaves sur le circuit, mais les mouvements et les aiguilles des esclaves d'origine n'étaient pas présents. Nous avons donc installé des aiguilles très proches des originales avec un mouvement à quartz à batterie moderne pour un fonctionnement simple et sans souci.
