Abstract Composition is an original artwork realized by Bram Bogart in 1969. Colored lithograph on paper. Hand-signed, dated, and numbered by the artist on the lower right. Edition of 150 prints. Mint conditions. The artwork represents an abstract composition realized with three vertical colored shapes and a horizontal yellow line. The contrasts between the colors create an odd energy and an interesting chromatic contrast. The composition is brilliant and very bright. Image Dimensions: 57 x 41 cm Bram Bogart (1921 – 2012) was a Dutch painter and artist associated with the COBRA group. After World War II, he moved to Paris, where he was among the founders of Informal Art. He experimented with Cubism and figurative drawing, depicting flowers, still-lifes and self-portraits. In the 1950s, he worked with impasto. In 1961, he went to Belgium and, in 1969, he became a Belgian citizen. In 1971, he represented Belgium at the Venice Biennal.
